Herb Hawkins

General Contractor, Co-Founder

Herb has spent the last 20 years in the construction industry building and remodeling homes. What began as a passion project 25 years ago, remodeling his home on the weekends, materialized into his business Hawkins Construction in 2003. His knack for problem-solving and wide range of experience building and remodeling houses has given him extensive knowledge of the many facets associated with construction. When not working on houses, you can find Herb on the golf course with friends, hiking with his daughters or enjoying his cabin in Tahoe.

Emily Hawkins

Designer, Co-Founder

Emily was interested in design from a young age. Growing up entrenched in the construction industry, she was able lend her design eye to countless projects over the years. She has since joined forces with her Dad, and launched Serene. While Emily does not identify with a single design style, as a homebody, she aims to make home a place you never want to leave. When not designing spaces or scoping potential projects, you can find Emily backpacking, riding horses or traveling abroad.
